Mark Bloomfield:

Mark is the owner and operator of Everton Tennis & Gear.  He is a qualified Tennis Australia accredited Development Coach and Hotshots Provider, a former member of the Tennis Coaches Australia (TCAQ),  a member of USRSA (United States Racquet Stringers Association)  and also a Chartered Accountant.  Mark purchased the centre in the year 2000 and has since built up the centre to be widely regarded as one of the best managed tennis facilities in Brisbane.  Everton Tennis Centre and Shaw Park Tennis Centre proudly boasts the most successful specialist tennis pro-shops in South-East Queensland.   Mark is dedicated to tennis facility administration while maintaining the highest level of customer service and tennis equipment knowledge.

Shane Mikic:

Shane began working with Everton Tennis in 2003. His role as Proshop Manager involves the administration of our proshop and staff, as well as co-ordinating our fixture programs. He began his tennis working life in Townsville where he was employed as a tennis coach. After his move to Brisbane he worked in retail while continuing to work as a coach and a restringer. We are very proud to have Shane working for Everton Tennis, his tennis knowledge and stringing ability is second to none. Shane is a regular participant in the local open tennis tournaments, is a member of the USRSA and well known in the tennis community for his extensive knowledge of tennis equipment and string.  In 2010, Shane was invited to string at the Sydney International and also joined the Wilson Global Stringing Team at the Australian Open.  Shane will again be stringing at the 2011 Australian Open.

Gareth Keating:

Gareth has returned to Brisbane after 11 years playing and coaching overseas.  After a strong junior career in Queensland, he was awarded a scholarship in the USA to play 4 years of Div 1 College tennis.  After completing a Business degree, Gareth worked for 2 years coaching at a country club in Minnesota and 5 years coaching at a high performance academy in Nice, France.  Recently Gareth has worked as a travelling/touring coach for some of the top doubles players in the world, travelling to the Grand Slams and other pro tournaments.  Gareth is now responsible for the coaching programs at the Shaw Park Tennis Centre, the Everton Tennis Centre and 14 schools in the area.

Dominic Andrew:

Dominic has been a full time coach for over 15 years and earned a Level 2 TCAQ qualification in 1995. Since then Dom has been a trainer coach and mentor to over 20 coaches who have been successful in achieving their personal Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. Dom was the Hardcourt Manager and Head Coach at the State tennis centre at Milton during the years before the land was sold for development. He has since leased 2 tennis centres and been a team manager for numerous tournaments and trips including the Australian Open. Dominic regularly invests his time researching all aspects of tennis, especially varied teaching methods and latest innovations used by pros in their technique.

Craig Pickering:

Craig brings his knowledge from England where he is a LTA Level 4 Coach.  Previous roles have seen him work closely with the Hot Shots Program and some of the top juniors in the UK.  Craig has coached for the past 9 years and was the Head Development Coach at the Carnegie High Performance Centre in Leeds.  Craig also played Div 1 British University Tennis.  We welcome Craig as the Head Coach at the Shaw Park Tennis Centre.

Neil Hickey:

Neil is a qualified level 2 coach.  He has over 30 years of coaching experience.  He was a top 10 singles player in Queensland and also Queensland’s top 2 Doubles player in his younger years.  He has played doubles with a lot of Australia’s great tennis players.  Neil has built up a number of adult social programs on Monday and Thursday mornings and Friday nights.  He currently runs adult coaching groups and social tennis nearly every day of the week.  Neil is a full-time tennis coach and his knowledge and experience will be of great benefit to your game.

Jon Tregidgo

Jon Tregidgo has been with Shaw Park for the last 3 years, coaching our Junior and Adult Programs. He has taken children to State Tournaments all over Queensland, and is passionate about getting Juniors involved in Tournament play. Jon has over 20 years of Tennis Coaching experience. Before joining us in Brisbane, he worked overseas in the U.S. U.K and New Zealand. There he worked with many Internationally Ranked Juniors. Jon is Shaw Parks, Head Tennis Coach of Padua Boys College and works with our Squads and Tournament Players.

Jenny Metzler:

Jenny has had coaching and playing experience in her home town of Cairns in North Queensland.  Jenny relocated to Brisbane in 2010 and has been with us ever since.  Jenny is a Junior Development Coach with Tennis Australia.  Jenny is based at the Everton Tennis Centre and does a wide range of lessons in our after school and before school programs.  Jenny also organises the Game Play sessions at Everton and does a large amount of behind the scene work on Newsletters and school promotions.  She has been the Head Coach at the St Anthony’s Primary in Kedron.

Benita Smith:

Benita achieved a Bachelors Degree in Business from the Shorter University in Rome, Georgia and achieved academic merit in Management, Finance, Communications and Human Resources.  Benita was educated at Townsville Grammer School and was awarded a tennis scholarship to study and play in the USA.  The Shorter University womens tennis team played in the highest college tennis division and were qualifier national champions (NAIA).  Benita is also an experienced croupier (Brisbane and Sweden) and a Barista.  International travel and a life of tennis gives Benita the necessary skills to make a valuable contribution to our centres.

John Zelinski

John is a Club Professional Coach has been coaching for the past 15 years all over Queensland at all ages and levels.  John is the Head Coach at Clayfield College and works with their teams and a number of our junior programs.   He is also passionate about our Cardio Tennis program and has a strong following of player’s across Shaw Park.

Damian Vejnovic

Damian comes from a strong tennis playing family in Brisbane.  He was guided and coached as a junior under our own coach Adrian O’Sullivan.  Damian is now giving back the passion he has for the game of tennis.  Damian has recently graduated form University and has taken a full time position with us in the Pro Shop and administering our tennis programs.  Now only coaching occasionally for us, you will find him at Shaw Park organising coaching and fixtures programs.

Scott Beckingsale

Scott is involved heavily at all of our tennis centres and school based programs.  He is oftern at school assemblies promoting the game of tennis and giving out awards and prizes.  Scott is a fully qualified sports trainer in a number of sports including tennis, soccer, AFL, basketball, cricket and netball.  He can now be found at Oakleigh State School where he runs a large program of kids.  Scott has been leading the Mt Alvernia girls teams to a great improvement over the past two years.  Scott runs all of the squad level physical training sessions and has been testing all of our kids to measure their progress over the past few terms.  Recently Scott has been developing our FUN-damentals Program, which introduces small children ages 4-6 to physical activity.

Matthew Webb:

Matt is a Tennis Australia qualified coach and has a background in cricket and tennis played at Villanova College in Brisbane.  He was guided and coached as a junior under our own coach Ross Orford.  Matt is currently playing tournaments and competing all over Queensland.  He has developed a strong following of juniors across Shaw Park and Clayfield College.  Matt coaches the Clayfield girls teams and lead them to a regional victory where they played at the 2013 Brisbane International.

David Reade

David is a Level 4 performance coach with the British LTA Coaching system.  He has recently been coaching and managing commercial programs in Singapore, and is in only his second term with us at Shaw Park.   David also spent one year as Head Pro of the prestigious Aphrodite Hills 5 star Tennis &Golf resort in Cyprus. He has great passion for developing juniors in the Hot Shots Talent Development area from 7-10 years old and has a good track record in producing high level tournament players through the Red, Orange and Green system, which became prominent in the UK over 10 years ago and is now expanding across the world.  He also spent 5 years as a Senior Coach at a High Performance Academy in Leeds UK, David can now be found developing juniors at Shaw Park and Clayfield College.

Tim Williams:

Tim comes from New Zealand where he was a top level junior.  Tim was a member of the Nudgee College firsts team in Brisbane.  He has been coaching at the University of Qld before coming to Shaw Park mid 2012.  Tim is also a qulaified physical trainer and helps run some of the fitness sessions for our juniors at Shaw Park.  Tim coaches some of our Padua Teams and runs the Game Play every Thursday afternoon.

Ciaran Moore

Ciaran has had over ten years of professional playing and travelling experience ranging from stints at college tennis in the USA, academyy training in Sydney, playing all over Europe and coaching in South Africa..  After a 12 year period spent overseas playing and coaching, Ciaran has now returned to Brisbane and is conducting lessons at the Shaw Park Tennis Centre.  Ciaran has a strong playing background and has coached at the highest levels.  He is now growing our morning and day time programs at Shaw Park.
