The Shaw Park Tennis Centre opened for business in July 2008.
The facility boasts 10 ITF standard acrylic hard courts with lights, associated car park, pro shop, kiosk, shade shelters and amenities. Centrally located just five kilometres from the CBD the centre is proving popular with local residents and the tennis community. The centre offers a complete range of tennis programs inclusing social tennis, coaching, fixtures and of course casual play. The centre is open to the public and no memberships are required.
The construction of the Shaw Park Tennis Centre was jointly funded by the Brisbane City Council and the State Government to address the shortage of commercial tennis facilities in Brisbane. The facility is open to the public and a wide range of programs are now available for you to enjoy.
Everton Tennis & Gear is a specialist tennis centre manager and has been appointed to manage the facility under a long term lease arrangement with the BCC. Everton Tennis & Gear under the ownership of Mark Bloomfield operates a commercial tennis centre at Everton Park which has been successfully running for the past thirty-five years.
