The Yonex RDiS 100 93, used by Lleyton Hewitt, is the next generation of the RDS 001 players frame, utilizing Yonex's Impact Speed technology for enhanced frame response. The "iS" in RDiS stands for Impact Speed-a snap-back action which stores energy on impact, then releases it with tremendous power and speed. Yonex also utilizes a new graphite construction known as Cup-Stack Carbon Nanotube in its RDiS racquets which helps the frame flex, yet provide quick repulsion for power and a solid feel.
The RDiS 100 in the 93 square inch head is for the advanced player looking for the ultimate in control in a player-oriented package. Specifications remain very similar to the previous-generation RDS 001, still providing control and predictability, with a very traditional feel. Maintains the feel of a larger sweetspot than its 93 square inch headsize would suggest, feeling solid yet forgiving. Denser 16x20 string pattern for added control.
The RDiS series from Yonex also features the use of Elastic Ti in the shaft of the racquet. Elastic Ti vercomes the limitations of conventional frame materials. With its powerful rebound effect, a split second after impact and deflection, the Elastic Ti frame snaps back to its original shape with high accuracy and with the full energy of the swing.
