Mozzie Head Start Junior Tennis Program
The Head Start Junior Tennis Program is a specially
designed coaching program for the 4 to 6 years
olds. The lessons are 30 minutes in length and
use modified equipment to encourage success. The
program has 4 different skill levels for the children
to achieve.
Head
Bronze Introduction to the tennis court and the
basic strokes involved in tennis.
Head Silver The different movements used in tennis
will be introduced during this stage along with
the strokes used.
Head Gold In this final stage, the children will
refine the skills learned previously in order
to prepare them for full court tennis.
This
is a half hour program that uses low compression
balls, smaller net, games, teaching aids and activities
that guarantees beginner improvement. 4 per class.

Group Lessons
This is our most popular group program that specializes
in teaching
students the technical aspects of tennis.
These lessons teach students the fundamentals
of tennis such as
the various strokes, grips, rules of tennis and
scoring.
These classes are held each day after school and
Saturday mornings.
Av. 6 per class (max 7) Age Group: 7 - 17.
Junior
Group Coaching
Junior group coaching specialises in teaching
students the technical aspects of tennis. These
lessons teach students the fundamentals of tennis
such as the various strokes, grips, rules of tennis
and scoring. These classes are held every day
after school and Saturday mornings. The junior
group coaching is broken up into four different
skill levels.
Junior
Nippers Classes held at 3.30pm after school
and Sat morning. 6 - 8 years age. 7:1 student
to coach ratio. Basic stroke production and movements
for full court tennis.
Junior Hotshots Classes held at 4.15 pm
after school and Sat morning. 8 - 11 years of
age. 7:1 student to coach ratio. Stroke production,
sets procedures and basic tactics.
Junior Champs Classes held at 5.00 pm after
school and Sat morning. 10 - 14 years of age.
7:1 student to coach ratio. Technique, tactics
and movement come together.
Junior Stars Classes held at 5.45 pm after
school. 12 - 16 years of age. 7:1 student to coach
ratio
Advanced strokes, movements and tactics.
